Welcome to our parish website and if you are new to the area, welcome to our parish. You may come from further afield and simply want to know something about St. Jude the Apostle Parish – I hope that your visit will transform distance into friendship.
Our parishioners come from all over Ireland and beyond. We are comprised of young and not so young, working and retired people and children growing up who share a common love of God and each other. Please browse our site and feel welcome to drop into our beautiful church at any time to say a prayer or light a candle or join our parish family for Mass.
You can also tune in and watch our ceremonies live through the magic of the internet, which when you think of it is really what a parish is all about. A group of individuals combining talents and knowledge for the greater good and as the Jesuits would say, the Glory of God.

  St Vincent de Paul collection last weekend (11th and 12th April) amounted to €1625 for which we are most grateful weekend

  Trócaire Boxes / Offering: We invite you to return your Trócaire Box(es) to the Parish Office or Mass. Thank you
• Parish Partnership: A Partnership meeting took place on 14th April last with representatives from the five parishes attending. The feasibility of an additional early morning Mass in the Partnership was discussed as this initiative worked well, with good attendance at the 7.30am Mass in St Josephs during the Lenten season. There is currently an 8am Mass celebrated each morning in Greenhills. Discussion took place on how to integrate and promote the Partnership and how to reach parishioners in each of the parishes. The importance of faith development was discussed with suggestions including further scripture study and Adoration within the Partnership being considered.   Saturday 25th April and Sunday 26th April Church Gate Collection for the Charity Mary’s Meals
  Dear Parishioner, Our Dublin Volunteer Group are collecting following all the Masses, at St Jude on Saturday 25th April and Sunday 26th April. Mary’s Meals feeds over 3.1 million children every day at schools in 17 of the world’s poorest countries. For €22 a child can receive a Mary’s Meal each day for a full year. Over 96% of the money donated goes directly to the provision of food. Over the last 9 years our Dublin volunteer Group have been supporting three schools in Africa, “Gold Camp Public School” in Liberia with 256 children at an annual cost of €5,632, Chitala School in Zambia with 490 children at an annual cost of € 10,780 and Namitalala School in Malawi, with 332 children at an annual cost of €7,304. Your Donation will feed these children, who might otherwise miss school, to work, beg, scavenge for food, and miss a precious education, which can be their ladder out of poverty. • The next celebration of Family Mass for the parishes of St Pius X and St Jude the Apostle's will take place next Saturday 11th April at the 5.30pm Vigil in St Jude the Apostle's. We encourage all families with young children to join us for this Mass, however we especially encourage the children who will be celebrating First Holy Communion during May to join us for this Mass

• Dublin Diocese Knock Pilgrimage which will be led by Archbishop Dermot Farrell will take place on Saturday 25th April. Bus collection points St Pius X 8.30 sharp and St Judethe Apostle's at 9 a.m. sharp. The price is €25. Please call into the Parish Office. in St Judes or St Pius X to register. • TheWay.ie: Is a new digital platform set up by the Irish Bishops’ Conference dedicated to sharing the Good News and the witness of the Catholic Church in Ireland.   Invitation for New Members to sing with choir at the 10:00am mass. The choir practice on Thursdays 5pm to 6pm in the church or the pastoral centre. New members are welcome any time or if you can't get to the practice come at 09.30am on Sunday morning and join the singing practice

  Bishop Shanahan National School First Holy Communions Wednesday 20th/Thursday 21st May '26
  Parents of 2nd class children are invited to enrol their children for the Sacrament of First Holy Communion by clicking here and completing the online enrolement and submitting same. You will also need to drop a copy of your child’s Baptism Cert into the parish office once you have completed the online enrolment. Certs are available from the church where your child was baptised. We would kindly ask parents to complete the enrolment by Friday 12th December 2025. This will enable the parish to keep parents informed about any developments in the preparation for the Sacraments

  Thursdays in St. Jude the Apostle's: At 09:30 we pray the Luminous Mysteries of the Rosary, especially for our priests. We say a Vocation prayer for young men and women that they might hear and answer the call to Priesthood and Religious Life. The Eucharist is then available. See leaflet at back of church

  Sincere thanks to all who continue to support Koins for Kids due to your continued donations this parish has donated in excess of €11,374 plus lots of non euro coins and notes. No donation is too small so if you have any small change or foreign currency lying around drop them into parish office and we will pass on to Koins for Kids whose aim it is to raise 1 million euro to fund a paediatric MRI scanner for new Childrens hospital. So far amount raised has reached the milestone of €700,000. St Jude The Apostle's are the leading donor so keep up the good work and dig out all those old coins or small euro coins every little helps.

Standing Orders – increasing amounts – Some of you have increased the amount you were donating or started new standing order but we are struggling to identify where some of the amounts are coming in from as you have not put your name in correct field. If you have increased or started a new standing order since January you might send me an email with the new amount and your name so we can allocate the correct amounts. Request for copies of Baptism, Confirmation Certificates and Letters of Freedom from 1st June in order to comply with the new GDPR requlations we are required by law to ask the person for whom the certificate relates to to request copy themselves accompanied by photo id so the easiest way is to email request to stjudesparishwillington@gmail.com and attach photo id otherwise we will have to give them a request form for you to sign and bring it back with photo id if you are asking someone to pick up certificates they must have photo id of their own as well before we can hand out paperwork
