Welcome to our parish website and if you are new to the area, welcome to our parish. You may come from further afield and simply want to know something about St. Jude the Apostle Parish – I hope that your visit will transform distance into friendship.
Our parishioners come from all over Ireland and beyond. We are comprised of young and not so young, working and retired people and children growing up who share a common love of God and each other. Please browse our site and feel welcome to drop into our beautiful church at any time to say a prayer or light a candle or join our parish family for Mass.
You can also tune in and watch our ceremonies live through the magic of the internet, which when you think of it is really what a parish is all about. A group of individuals combining talents and knowledge for the greater good and as the Jesuits would say, the Glory of God.

  St Vincent de Paul collection will take place outside all masses next weekend 9th and 10th May
• Beginning Experience: Few people are able to cope alone with the pain and loneliness following the loss of a life partner. Do you find that you need more support than family and friends can provide? Beginning Experience is a peer support group dedicated to helping those who are navigating life following the loss of a life partner. Structured programmes are run by a team of trained facilitators, who are themselves widowed, separated or divorced. The Dublin Beginning Experience Team is planning a Three Day Coping with Life Alone Programme which will take place over three Saturdays: Saturday 6th June 20thJune and 27thJune 2026 (Advance Booking Essential) Venue: Carmelite Community Centre, Whitefriar Street, Dublin 2. • Masses this weekend will be offered in memory of the family relatives and friends of Eucharistic Ministers and the Ministers of the Word who have died this year

• Archdiocese of Dublin - Lay Ministry courses If you are interested in completing either of these courses, please do attend the information evening on the 25th May where you can find out more about what they entail. You can register for the evening directly on the Archdiocese website or alternatively please have a chat with Fr Pat. We would be delighted if members of our parish community can participate in either of these courses, bringing back and sharing their learning in our parish

• Family Offering Collection – New boxes of envelopes:
  Help required If there is anybody with a half an hour to spare they might help us by distributing the Family Collection boxes in their area, it would be much appreciated
• Archdiocese of Dublin - Lay Ministry Appeal: The Annual Appeal will be held next weekend 2nd / 3rd May. This year’s theme is ‘Building faith-filled communities.’ The collection replaces the Share Collection at all Masses this weekend. ‘We are called to be builders of faith so that we can confidently share our faith in Christ with others.’ Brochures containing Archbishop Dermot Farrell's message and also highlighting Lay Ministries courses available in the Diocese are available in the church porches
  
• St Pius X:
  Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament Sunday 10th May from 3-4pm concluding with Benediction
  Active Retirement Association will meet this coming Monday 11th May at 11am in St Mary’s Room. All are welcome
  Scripture Group will meet this coming Thursday 14th May at 7.30pm in the Sacristy
  Family Mass: The next celebration of Family Mass for the parishes of St Pius X and St Jude the Apostle will take place in St Pius X next Saturday 9th May at the 7pm Vigil Mass
  
• May Month of Our Lady: Parish of St Pius X each week during the month on one evening will have Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament with Benediction during which we will recite the rosary for full details see on their web site here

• TheWay.ie: Is a new digital platform set up by the Irish Bishops’ Conference dedicated to sharing the Good News and the witness of the Catholic Church in Ireland.   Invitation for New Members to sing with choir at the 10:00am mass. The choir practice on Thursdays 5pm to 6pm in the church or the pastoral centre. New members are welcome any time or if you can't get to the practice come at 09.30am on Sunday morning and join the singing practice

  Thursdays in St. Jude the Apostle's: At 09:30 we pray the Luminous Mysteries of the Rosary, especially for our priests. We say a Vocation prayer for young men and women that they might hear and answer the call to Priesthood and Religious Life. The Eucharist is then available. See leaflet at back of church

  Sincere thanks to all who continue to support Koins for Kids due to your continued donations this parish has donated in excess of €11,374 plus lots of non euro coins and notes. No donation is too small so if you have any small change or foreign currency lying around drop them into parish office and we will pass on to Koins for Kids whose aim it is to raise 1 million euro to fund a paediatric MRI scanner for new Childrens hospital. So far amount raised has reached the milestone of €700,000. St Jude The Apostle's are the leading donor so keep up the good work and dig out all those old coins or small euro coins every little helps.

Parish Office Bookings for Anniversary Masses etc. Note that all anniversary and remembrance masses must be booked through the Parish Office (Cash Only), please give one Months notice. Mass Cards, Baptismal Candles, Rosary beads, First Holy Communion and Confirmation cards and gifts are now available in Parish Office. Easter Mass Bouquets are available (proceeds to charity).

Standing Orders – increasing amounts – Some of you have increased the amount you were donating or started new standing order but we are struggling to identify where some of the amounts are coming in from as you have not put your name in correct field. If you have increased or started a new standing order since January you might send me an email with the new amount and your name so we can allocate the correct amounts. Request for copies of Baptism, Confirmation Certificates and Letters of Freedom from 1st June in order to comply with the new GDPR requlations we are required by law to ask the person for whom the certificate relates to to request copy themselves accompanied by photo id so the easiest way is to email request to stjudesparishwillington@gmail.com and attach photo id otherwise we will have to give them a request form for you to sign and bring it back with photo id if you are asking someone to pick up certificates they must have photo id of their own as well before we can hand out paperwork
